ᐊᐧᓴᑲᒪᐱᐊᐧᐠ Wasakamapiwak Collective

ᐊᐧᓴᑲᒪᐱᐊᐧᐠ Wasakamapiwak Collective is a group of Indigenous artists based in Treaty 7 territory and working in varied mediums, creating wearables either partially or entirely.

Our mission is to gather diverse artists to connect and learn from one another, finding new ways to collaborate and incorporate new techniques. We prioritize representation across different Indigenous cultures, ages, training backgrounds and disciplines — members range from their early 20s to 60s, with varying levels of formal training.

The collective was founded in late 2023 by Danielle Piper.
